젊은 시절 옷가게를 운영하셨던 저희 이모는 70세를 바라보는 지금도 멋쟁이십니다.
부산 국제시장 한 편에는 멋쟁이 이모가 단돈 천 원, 이천 원으로 골라오는 보세(구제) 옷 시장이 크게 형성되어 있습니다.
제가 중학생이었을 때 힙합바지에 체인 고리가 한창 유행했습니다.
국제시장 한 골목이 다양한 힙합바지를 판매하던 상점들로 이루어져 구경하는 재미가 쏠쏠했던 기억이 나네요.
당시의 힙합바지 골목은 요즘 스타일의 옷들로 채워져 여전히 저희에게 다양한 볼거리를 제공합니다.
조금 과장해서 말하자면 국제시장에는 패션과 관련해서 없는 게 없습니다.
옷, 신발, 모자뿐 아니라 가방, 벨트, 각종 액세서리도 판매합니다.

국제시장에는 빅사이즈 옷을 전문으로 하는 가게가 모여있는 곳도 있고, 아기 옷만 취급하는 가게들이 모여있는 곳도 있습니다.
남성 옷 전문점은 스트릿 패션 전문, 정장 전문 등으로 세분화되어있어 가게 선택의 폭을 좁힐 수 있습니다.
This district is filled with many stores, including stores professionally selling items to adults big and tall, and another district is for baby clothes. There is of course a large majority of stores for Korean adult sizes as well.
If you take a walk around the whole International market, you will see many styles of what is considered to be the Korean fashion of the year.
동대문 시장은 큰 빌딩 안에 여러 상점이 있지만 국제시장은 거리 곳곳에 상점과 노점상들이 즐비해 있습니다.
꼭 옷을 사려는 사람뿐 아니라 그저 길을 걷는 사람, 밥을 먹으려는 사람 등, 다양한 목적으로 사람들이 이 길을 걷기 때문에 동대문 시장만큼 호객행위가 심하지 않습니다.
Dongdaemun market is composed with many stores inside of a building, while the international market has a lot of stores and vendors on the streets.
부산에 왔다면 보세 옷을 파는 거리는 꼭 한번 방문해 볼 만합니다.
보세 옷가게마다 옷 무더기가 쌓여 있는데, 가게에서 제공해 주는 목욕탕 의자에 쭈그려 앉아 옷 무더기 속에서 옷을 하나하나 뒤져야 합니다. 특이한 디자인의 퀄리티가 뛰어난 옷을 찾는 것이 이 옷 무더기를 뒤지는 묘미죠.
보세 옷은 옷 한 벌당 천 원, 이천 원으로 저렴한데요, 물론 천 원의 가치조차 없는 옷도 많습니다. 하지만 그 가격에 살 수 없는 옷 역시 많아요. 저희 엄마나 이모처럼 패션 감이 좋은 사람이 보세 옷 거리에 간다면 꽤 즐거운 시간을 보내다가 두 손 무겁게 돌아올 수 있습니다.
A strong suggestion is to go visit bonded street and walk around in the international market.
Every bonded store has piles of clothes to check out! You can sit down and look through the clothes and find what you like for a far reduced price than going to a shopping mall. Finding unique and better quality clothes are the charm of visiting to this place.
One clothes cost 1,000~2,000 won (1~2 dollars).
I want to recommend the bonded stores to those who has a sense of fashion or who want to try to be fashionable. The quality of clothes are bifurcated with two limits : surprisingly good or bad. Excellent gift ideas.
제게 '시장'은 정찰제가 아닌 가격에 바가지 쓰는 상황을 마주해야 하는 곳인데, 다행히도 국제 시장의 많은 옷집은 정찰제를 시행하고 있었습니다. 물론 카드결제와 현금가가 다른 경우가 있으니 흥정은 해 보시돼, 중국이나 동남아시아의 일부 시장처럼 부른 가격의 50%를 깎고 흥정을 시작하면 아마도 쫓겨날지도 모르겠습니다. ㅎ_ㅎ;

부산에 오셔서 국제 시장의 여러 옷 가게, 보세 옷 거리를 둘러보며 쇼핑 시간을 가져도 좋을 것 같습니다.
I personally do not usually enjoy going to markets.
People who don't know market price tend get overcharged, because in Korea some prices at markets are negotiable if you are good at haggling.
However, many stores in international market are doing a fixed price system! Which makes it easier to know what you are getting.
It is not the end all be all answer, but you can still offer to in cash and bargain to reduce some of the cost. I suggest if you are trying to haggle to bring the price asked to 90% of what was first asked for.
