한국에는 여러 공방이 있습니다. 

도자기 만들기, 가구 만들기, 가죽 지갑 만들기, 비누 만들기 등 셀 수 없는 종류의 공방이 있어요.

혼자서 무언가를 만들려면 만드는 법을 찾고 재료 구입을 해야 하지만 공방에 가면 손쉽게 '나만의 ㅇㅇ'을 만들 수 있어요.

 

저희는 지금 평택에 거주하고 있지만 전에 왜관에 살 때 다가오는 시어머니 생신에 무슨 선물을 할까 고민하다 정성 어린 선물을 선호하시는 시어머니의 기호에 맞춰 대구의 토리토이 공방에 다녀왔어요.

There are a lot kinds of studios called "Gong Bang" in Korea that focuses on making China, Furniture, Leather wallet, Soap etc.

If you were to make something by hand yourself at home, you have to find a way how to make it and buy all the materials, but you don't need to do all that stuff if you go to Gong Bang. 

 

When Josh and I lived in Daegu area, one day we had thought about birthday gift for our mom, so we visted a pop art Gong Bang , '.tory. toy'.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

팝아트 공방답게 내부 여기저기에 예술미가 가득했어요. 

The interior of Torytoy Gong Bang is full of art. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

미리 예약을 하고 방문해야 하는데 시간에 맞춰 도착하니 밑그림이 그려진 캔버스가 준비되어 있었어요.

Before you visit here, you have to make a reservation and have a photo you wish to use to be animated (See bottom of page for information).

When we were there in time, our canvas with drawing was ready.

저희가 해야 할 일은 색을 배합하고 밑그림 위에 색칠하는 거예요. 색만 칠하는데도 한 시간 반 정도 걸렸어요.

What you do is combine colors and color the canvas how you wish. Painting itself takes an hour and a half but is very fun.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

색을 다 칠하면 물감을 말리고 색 위에 다시 마무리 작업을 해야 하는데요, 팝아트의 완성도가 마무리 작업에 달려있다고 해도 과언이 아닌지라 저희는 공방 강사님께 마무리 작업을 맡겼어요.

마무리 작업 의뢰는 그림 사이즈에 따라 5000원~ 금액을 더 지불해야 합니다.

마무리 작업까지 저희가 했다면 뿌듯함도 배가 됐을 것 같지만 선물용이라서 저희는 완성도에 더 중점을 두었어요.

 

Last step is drying paints and drawing lines on the colors we painted.

I am going to say that the completion of pop art depends on this line. If you are not confident with your drawing skill, you can ask for help to the worker like we did. It costs extra  5,000 won  or more depends on the size of the canvas.

선물을 받으신 시어머니께서 정말 좋아하셔서 저까지 행복했던 기억이 새록새록 나네요 :))

다음에는 평택 근처 팝아트 공방을 찾아서 저희 집 인테리어 용으로도 하나 만들어야겠어요! +_+
