마가는 부산 차이나타운 도보거리에 거주하고 계신 이모가 소개해 준 중국식 만둣집이에요.

차이나타운 여러 만둣집을 다니시다 마가 만두에 정착한지 몇 년이 흘렀는데요, 마가 만두는 이제는 부산 맛집에서 빠지지 않는 식당으로 유명세를 타고 있습니다. 유명세 타면 맛이 바뀌는 식당이 많은데 마가 만두는 과거에도, 지금도 여전히 맛있어요.

Once you visit Busan by train, I would highly recommend this dumpling restaurant 'Maga'. 

Maga is located in Busan, China Town which is right across the street from Busan train station. Look for the Texas Street sign!

There are a lot of authentic Chinese and Russian restaurants in the Texas Street area. 

 

My aunt who has lived in Busan, specially the China Town area, almost over 60 years, went to most of the restaurants in that area and recommended Maga to us a few years ago. Ever since, Maga has had water-cooler effect being known as one of the top restaurants in Busan.

 

 

 

 

- 마가 밑반찬 오이절임.  만두와 절묘하게 잘 어울려서 만두 한입, 오이 한입, 자꾸 집어먹게 돼요

 

 

 

 

 

마가 만두는 담백한 한국식 만두와 피가 맛있는 중국식 만두가 잘 조화된 느낌이에요.

그래서 저는 마가의 군만두보다는 만두 피를 제대로 느낄 수 있는(?) 찐만두나 물만두를 더 좋아하지만 이건 사바사인가 봐요. 메뉴판 가격만 봐도 군만두가 찐만두, 물만두에 비해 천원이 비싼 걸 보면 사람들은 군만두를 더 많이 드시는 걸 수도 있어요.  ㅎ_ㅎ

 

Maga is known for their dumplings which tastes like lightly seasoned Korean dumpling meat and soft Chinses dumpling skin.  That's why I like their steamed dumplings or boiled dumplings (softer texture) more than fried dumplings (deliciously crispy) but still a lot of people prefer fried dumplings including my husband and my mom.

부산에 갈 때마다 마가 만두에 가지 않은 날을 세는 게 더 빠를 정도로 저희 가족이 애정하는 식당이랍니다. 

마가의 다른 요리도 맛있기는 한데 제 입에는 중국식이라기보다는 많이 한국화 됐다는 느낌이에요. 만두도 한국인 입맛에 맞게 바꾼 건지 중국 특유의 향이 많이 나지는 않아요. 그런데 이 점 때문에 되려 모든 사람이 호불호 없이 먹을 수 있는 맛인 것 같아요.

개인적으로는 중국에서도 먹힐 만두라고 생각하지만 중국 분들의 의견도 들어보고 싶네요. ^ㅁ^  

 

Every time we go to Busan to visit my family, we always go to Maga.

Even though Maga is  known as dumpling specialty restaurant, but their other dishes are great. However, I personally think they are more like Koreanized-Chinese food.  You can be the judge of that! :)
